Dining Room and Event Space

Our large dining room opens directly onto the terrace and outdoor seating area and gardens.

The room is used as a shared dining and sitting room with a mix of tables and sofas for guests to relax or work.

This room doubles as an event space and can be hired separately for events, meetings and workshops.

Kitchen room

Self Catering Kitchen

Our self-catering vegetarian kitchen is fully equipped with two cookers, a dishwasher and fridges as well as all crockery and cutlery with ample space to prepare your own breakfast or evening meal.

Tea and coffee are available for everyone.

The Snug

Our cosy snug is perfect for colder days with a wood burner stove, but still with direct access to our outside spaces, seating, gardens and woodland.

There is a selection of books and games for guests to share.

This room has a display of props and images from IOU shows and productions over the last 20 years.

Reception

The Reception area features a bespoke desk designed and made from an original IOU production prop and is stocked with local guides and maps.

We offer self check-in and check-out with an access code emailed to you after booking.

Free Wifi is available throughout the Hostel

Accessibility

The Hostel is fully accessible with a disabled car park and step free access to the Hostel door.

On the ground floor is an accessible toilet as well as a double accessible bedroom with full ensuite facilities.

Gardens and Woodlands

The Hostel is set in extensive gardens and woodlands with an outdoor seating area for warmer days.

Walking Routes

Walking routes start from our doorstep including the Pennine Way Hebden Bridge Loop.

The Hostel also has bike storage and washing facilities.

We accept dogs on a limited basis, please check before booking.

IOU Silent Disco

In our  Dining Room and Event Space you’ll find the IOU Silent Disco

Our Artist in Residence 2022, Charlotte Meller Meecham, completed her art and sound project at the Hostel and the result are these beautiful customised headphones that our Hostel guests can use for their own exclusive silent disco.

Easy to use to play your own music over bluetooth connection to your smart phone, tablet or device or just try them on and share your photographs with us.
